European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Electroputere Craiova, a manufacturer of electrical rotating motors and power transformators, announced its intention to dismiss 500 employees as part of a restructuring plan negotiated with trade unions in 2009. At present the company has approximately 2,540 employees. Dismissed workers will receive compensatory payments equivalents to 5-9 monthly salaries according to the length of service in the company.
