European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Austrian group Zumtobel announced its intention to close the plant in Curtici, manufacturing lighting equipments and dissmis its workforce (180 employees). The representatives of Zumtobel Lighting Curtici are negotiating a compensatory payments' plan for its staff. According to the company representatives' statements, the production from the Curtici plant will be transferred to the locations owned by the group in other European countries, respectively Dornbirn (Austria), Spennymoor (Great Britain) and Landskrona (Sweden).
