European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Electroprecizia Săcele, a manufacturer of electric motors and generators announced its intention to dismiss 400 employees as part of a restructuring plan which will be initiated in the first quarter of 2009. At present the company has approximately 1,200 employees. In the first quarter of 2009, the company reported a turnover of 4.9 million euro (40% less than the level registered in the same period in 2008) and a financial loss of 0.2 million euro.
