European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
State-owned rail freight company CFR Marfă has announced the intention to dismiss some 1,300 workers who fulfilled the legal conditions for retirement. The measure is part of a large restructuring plan affecting the three railway transport companies announced by the Ministry of Transport and resulting in the dismissal of approximately 3,700 workers. At present the company has around 18,700 employees.
