Photovoltaic module manufacturer T-Solar plans to invest "3.4 billion euros between now and 2015 to exceed 800 megawatts (MW) installed in its preferred countries". According to company sources, those countries are Spain, Italy, France, the US and North Africa. The company already has 143 MW of photovoltaic technology installed in Spain. At a press conference on 12st May, managing director Juan Laso said that the subsidiary of photovoltaic solar power company Isolux has already started this international expansion with the installation of 8 MW in the Italian region of Puglia. He also confirmed that, as part of the current programme, the company expects to install a total of 50MW at its ground and roof plants in its preferred markets. In order to implement these plans for market extension, the company will be expanding its workforce at its Orense factory to reach maximum operating capacity. Specifically, the group will add two new teams in May, taking the number of employees to 190, with non-stop operation from June. Starting in 2010, the production capacity is expected to double - "just touching 90 MW annually", it was stated.
