Telecommunication company Telia Sonera will cut 700 employees across Sweden due to competition and pressure for cost reduction. Most of the affected employees work in the static broadband department. The company provides telecommunication services to the Nordic and Baltic regions, as well as the emerging markets of Eurasia, including Russia, Turkey, and Spain.
