Description
Euralis, a French producer of foie gras, has annouced 120 job cuts. The cuts will be implemented until mid 2010 and are associated with the relocation of production activities from company's site in Lignol (Morbihan) to Herbiers and from Saint-Laurent-sur-Manoire (Dordogne) to Sarlat (Dordogne). The decision is blamed on the considerable slump in demand for foie gras on French as well as European markets.
At present, the company employs 1880 workers in France.
