Description
Czech mining company OKD will close its coke plant in Ostrava and cut 500 jobs out of 1,182 by the end of 2009 due to a sharp financial loss of the mother company New World Resources (NWR). Dismissed workers will be given compensation amounting up 6 average monthly wages.
