European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
BT Group, one of the world´s leading telecommunication providers, has announced that it will reduce the number of employees worldwide by around 15, 000 in 2010. The decision is part of cost savings initiatives following the net financial loss of GBP 977 million in the first quarter of 2009. BT Group is operating in more than 170 countries and employs about 160,000 people.
