Description

Tesco, a multi-national operator of retail stores, has announced that it is to create 10,000 jobs in the UK by the end of 2009. The creation of a new jobs will come through the opening of new retail outlets in the UK. A spokesperson for Tesco also said that they expect other new jobs to result from the construction of the stores. The announcement of the new jobs comes despite the group announcing in January 2009 results for late November and December 2008 that have been considered disappointing by some analysts. Tesco employs 280,000 in the UK and operates 2,184 sites in the country.
