Description

The courier company DHL has announced 320 job losses across its depots and operations in Ireland. DHL intends to close seven regional depots in Athlone, Galway, Sligo, Cavan, Enniscorthy, Waterford and Tralee. In addition, it also intends to restructure its operations at depots in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. The company says it is cutting back its domestic services in Ireland in order to concentrate on what it calls its core business of international express delivery. Currently, DHL has four divisions in Ireland, employing a total of 1,600 staff.
