Description
Asarel Medet, the open pit copper miner, will gradually lay off 193 workers in Bulgaria. The downsizing is a result of the sliding global copper prices, which forced the company to trim its annual output, said the human resources director, Aleksander Chobanov. Asarel Medet cut its production target by 45% compared to last year's level.
