Description

The Danish based producer of windmills, Vestas, has announced that it is to cut 1,900 jobs Europe-wide due to a crisis in the sales of windmill, in particular in Northern Europe. The job losses will mainly concern the departments in UK and Denmark. Most of the announced layoffs (i.e. 1,275) will affect the departments in Denmark. According to Vestas, the job losses are due to the financial crisis and global recession.
