The paint manufacturer Tikkurila has concluded its personnel negotiations in Finland and is to cut 163 jobs. When the negotiations started the objective was to cut some 200 jobs throughout all Tikkurila units in Finland. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on a support package to be offered to all redundant workers. The additional benefits included in the support package are aimed at rapid and effective re-employment. The support package include a career service to facilitate re-employment, vocational retraining schemes, various pension arrangements, and financial support to redundant employees. Tikkurila will employ some 600 employees in Finland after the reductions.
