Description
Sony Ericsson, a world leader in mobile handset industry, has announced a cost-saving plan that envisages 5,000 job cuts worldwide by the end of 2009. The job losses are attributed to a decline in the company's turnover due to the global economic crisis.
Ericsson has around 84,000 employees worldwide.
