European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Schweitzer Mauduit, an American paper company, has announced that it will close its cigarette paper factory in Vaucluse in southern France. Two years ago the company launched a restructuring plan at its Vaucluse site with the aim of improving financial situation. However, a recent decline in sales has forced the group to close the factory.
