European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Private French retail group Auchan is to create 1,000 jobs in Portugal with an investment of €80 million. The new jobs will be created by the end of this year. The group plans to open three Pão de Açúcar supermarkets, two Jumbo hypermarkets in Amadora and Guimarães and six new petrol stations. As of April 2009, there is no information on the number employed across the country or when employment at the new outlets will commence.
