Description
Sea, the company that manages the Milan airports of Linate and Malpensa, is to cut 390 jobs at the Malpensa airport by the end of 2009. According to the company, the job-cuts are mainly due to the drop in air traffic volume that occurred after the decision of Alitalia to de-hub the Malpensa airport.
All 390 jobs will be cut through early retirement. Moreover, 900 workers of Sea are benefiting from a one-year scheme financed by the Wage Guarantee Fund.
Sea has around 5,200 employees.
