Description
Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), the exclusive concessionaire for the operation and development of Rome airport system, is to cut 180 jobs by the end of 2010. According to the company, the cuts are mainly due to the recent drop in the air traffic volume in the Rome Fiumicino 'Leonardo da Vinci' intercontinental airport and Rome Ciampino 'Giovan Battista Pastine' airport.
The company has announced the recourse to 'social shock absorber' measures - such as the extra-ordinary Wage Guarantee Fund - for the redundant workers.
ADR has around 2,400 employees.
