Description
UK insurer Aviva is to cut 1,100 jobs across the UK. The cuts are part of a company programme aimed at simplifying its life and pensions operation. The company stated that it intends to keep compulsory redundancies to a minimum. The job losses will affect 800 permanent staff and they will occur by the end of 2009.
