Description

The largest Dutch union, FNV Bondgenoten, announced on 19 March 2009 that Honeywell Emmen will cut 150 jobs and relocate the production of gas valves to the Czech Republic. In 2008, already 80 jobs were scrapped. Background are the lower wage costs. According to the union however, relocation is not cheaper due to higher transport costs. There will only remain 150 jobs in marketing and in the foundry.
