European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mahle, the manufacturer of pistons for motors, negotiated with the board that 125 workers be affected by the ‘Expediente de Regulación - ERE' (Redundancy Dismissal Procedure) through the termination of contracts that will affect its factories in Vilanova and la Geltrú (Barcelona) which involves reducing half of the adjustments that were presented in November. The remaining 380 workers for the Mahle factory will continue in a redundancy dismissal procedure on a short term basis for a maximum of 120 days.
