Description
The Norwegian government announced on 20th of March that The Norwegian Labour and Welfare Service (NAV) will get 710 million NOK extra in its operating budget for 2009. 430 million will be used to maintain an extra workforce of around 700 temporary employees and 200 million is used to expand employment with 350 additional full-time equivalents.
NAV was established on 1 July 2006 as a merger of the departments of labour market services and national insurance services.
