Description
More than 120 jobs in the balance at Shimizu Industry UK, a manufacturer of car parts. It is to tranfer operations from its site in Telford to Welshpool in mid-Wales. The relocation was blamed on a decline in orders and the current economic turbulence. The company has entered a three-month consultation period with the unions and as of 22 March 2009, the precise number of redundancies and the relocation date have not been confirmed.
