European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Glass manufacturer Orrefors Kosta Boda cut 157 jobs in Nybro. 66 of the dismissals were enacted via retirements. The redundancies, which occurred on January 12, affect both blue collar and white collar workers at the Orrefors, Kosta and Åfors glassworks. The notices were given as a result of lower sales in the company's main markets. The company is Scandinavia's largest glassworks group, and is part of the New Wave Group.
