The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Estonian Air will close down the ground service unit and dismiss about 120 workers from the 1st of May 2009 to increase profitability. A specialized company will start rendering the service. Estonian Air will focus on their main activities to increase its competitiveness to cope with the situation of a decreased number of passengers. In later spring 2009, the company plans to buy three new airplanes to offer a more flexible air schedule, to develop existing markets and to open new routes.
