Description
ITV, a television broadcaster, is to make 600 redundancies across the UK. The announcement comes less than six months after ITV made 1000 redundancies, reducing its workforce from 5,500 to 4,500. The cuts will be made across the UK, with the biggest single cut of around 150 jobs coming in Leeds as the Yorkshire TV studio is closed. The cuts are being made as the company faces reduced revenues from advertising. As of 8 March 2009 no date has been given for the implementation of these job cuts.
