Description
Syncreon Kft is to dismiss 400 of its workers due to the crisis affecting the automotive industry. As the company's sole consigner is Audi Hungária Motor Kft. and the manufacturing facility is actually based in Audi's site in Győr, internal changes in Audi's production management, including retaking responsibility for the execution of many logistical procedures, have facilitated the layoffs. Syncreon Kft. is part of the Syncreon Group, a provider of integrated logistics for relevant partners in the automotive and technology field. The Hungarian plant was employing 1400 people when the collective redundancy measure was initiated on 28 January 2009. As often several members of the same family are employed by the company, trade unions present in the plant started lobbying at the management of the company not to dismiss more than one person from a family.
