WSK PZL - Rzeszów (Wytwórnia Sprzętu Komunikacyjnego PZL Rzeszów), a maker of components for the aircraft industry (including complete engines for the F-16), plans to cut its workforce by 120 persons (out of a total of 4,000) by the end of 2009. The company already made 100 employees redundant in 2008. Since 2002, WSK PZL - Rzeszów is a member of the United Technology Holdings group. WSK PZL - Rzeszów is part of the Aviation Valley, an area in south-eastern Poland with over 60 aviation companies which employ 20,000 persons.
