Description
Gigaset Communications, a Munich-based producer of telephones, was an affiliate of Siemens before it was sold to investor Arques. The company has announced that it is to cut 300 jobs out of 2,100. About half of the job losses will be implemented through natural wastage, the remaining 150 redundant employees will be transferred to a job creation agency. As of February 2009 there is no information on when the job losses will occur.
