European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Turbomecanica Bucuresti, which produces engines for the aircraft industry, has announced it is to lay off 150 workers. The dismissals are part of an internal restructuring plan. In the first nine months of 2008, the company reported total losses of approximately 5.6 million euros and turnover decreased to a half of volumes in 2007. At present the company has 700 employees.
