Description

Ranger, the french subsidiary of the Italian group Rangerplast, based in Theillay (Loire-et-Cher) announced the cut of 80 jobs out of 442. These posts are linked to production. The company is specialised in the manufacturing of body parts for cars and trucks, made of composite material. The management decided to suspend night shift work from January 2009. All staff will be made partially redundant from 15-21 December 2008 and then in forced leave for two weeks.

In October 2008, Ranger France went into receivership citing high raw material costs as a principal factor. The commercial court of Romans (Drome) agreed that the company will carry on with its activities for a period of six months. The Italian group is now seeking a buyer for the french branch.
