European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
JJB Sports, a sportswear retailer, is to cut 438 staff as it closes 37 OSC stores and 8 Qube stores across the UK. The two chains had operated 77 stores with a total of 851 staff. The job cuts come as a result of lower sales in the current economic climate. As of 22 February 2009, no date has been confirmed for the closure of the stores.
