European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
PKN Orlen, one of Poland's largest fuel distributors, introduced a voluntary dismissal program that 250 employees entered. They all received severance pays. The program will not be continued in the future years. The vice president of PKN Orlen stated that they will be negotiating plans for future optimization of employment with the trade unions. The strategy of the company states that employment will have been reduced by 19% by 2013. PKN Orlen currently employs 4700 workers.
