Description
French company SEB is restructuring affiliate Rowenta, a manufacturer of small household goods, with the loss of 119 out of 290 jobs at the German manufacturing site at Erbach and 95 out of 1,020 jobs at Pont-Eveque in France. Negotations with the metalworkers' union IG Metall on a social plan are currently taking place.
After the purchase of Rowenta in 1987, SEB has relocated production to China. Erbach is the remaining manufacturing site in Germany.
