European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Makro, a cash-and-carry store, is to close its site in Swansea with the loss of 112 jobs. The company attributed the decision to lower sales and a need to reduce costs. The current proposed closure date for the site is 31 May 2009.
