Description
Japan-based Pioneer, one of the biggest home electronics producers, is to cut 6,000 permanent and 4,000 temporary jobs worldwide due to the global financial crisis. Pioneer announced that it would terminate flat screen TV production. The company currently employs 36,900 people worldwide. As of February 2009, there is no information on when job losses are to be implemented by.
