Description

On 10 Febuary 2009, Qiagen announced that it is to create 250 jobs between now and 2010 at its plant in Hilden, Germany. Turnover and profits jumped in 2008 and the company plans for expansion in 2009. Qiagen is to invest E 27 million to enlarge manufacturing and office space at its headquarters at Hilden, North-Rhine Westfalia. Qiagen will create 100 new jobs at Hilden in 2009 and another 150 jobs in 2010.

Qiagen is a former spin-off at University of Düsseldorf and is today a world leading provider for innovative technologies for research in molecular diagnostics, applied testing, pharma and academic research.

The company employs a global workforce of 3,000 at 30 sites. There is no information on staff in Germany.
