Description
Poczta Polska, the Polish postal operator, is to lay of 1,500 employees by the end of 2009 across Poland. In January 2009, the management of Poczta Polska, signed an agreement with its trade unions concerning a restructuring programme for the postal operator. Poczta Polska had a loss of approximately PLN 100 million in 2008. Provisions of the plan include shedding 1,500 administrative jobs by the end of the year; the aggregate workforce of Poczta Polska is 100,000 employees.
