European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Tadeusz Sędzimir steel mill (Huta im.Tadeusza Sędzimira) in Krakow will let 274 workers go by the end of 2009. The plant is Poland's only producer of sheet metal less than 6 mm thick; it belongs to Arcelor Mittal, which employs a total of 17,500 workers in Poland.
