Description

Harman/Becker, a leading manufacturer of entertainment and information systems for cars, has announced it will cut 1,000 from 3,800 jobs in Germany.  Harman/Becker is the automotive division of US-American Harman International Industries and is a leading manufacturer of entertainment and information systems for cars. It has announced the job cuts due to the economic crisis. There is no additional information on which sites the jobs are to be cut (the company has ten sites in Germany) nor on the expected time line for the cuts.  

The company employs a global workforce of 8,300. There is no information on any other country affected.
