Home entertainment company Chartbusters is to close 17 of its stores, which will result in 60 of its 267 staff being made redundant. The job losses are part of a survival plan. The company, which is mainly engaged in DVD rental but also provides internet services and tanning booths, has been engaged in a Commercial Court process in order to ensure its survival.
