The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The telemarketing company Qualytel has cancelled the contracts of 278 workers at its plant in Jerez, Spain. That is 110 redundancies more than the company announced 2 weeks ago. Since then, neither social dialogue nor pressuring methods have helped to ease the cutting of staff. All those affected work as operators for the mobile phone company Orange, which has broken its service agreement 11 months before it was due to end.
