European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Clothing wholesaler, Bestseller, is to dismiss 130 employees at its headquarters in Brande, Jutland. This was announced at 26 January 2009. The reason is red figures on the bottom line and negative expectations for the coming year. Not much information is given but a local paper is in possession of a letter to the employees in which the management regret that "lack of constant care has resulted in economic and emotional incertainty for so many employees".
