European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
T-Systems Iberia, the corporate services division of Deutsche Telekom in Spain, has presented a redundancy procedure (expediente de regulación de empleoor ERE) to dismiss 239 employees. A total 196 workers will lose their job, while the remaining 23 will be laid-off for a period of six months. The company assumes full responsibility for employing again the 23 workers after the six-month period expires. The company also offers to 20 workers - aged 56 years - the possibility to take early retirement.
