Description
Asda supermarket is to create 7,000 jobs across the UK. 3,700 of the new jobs will be created with the opening of 14 stores and the expansion of 15 existing ones. An additional 2,000 positions are being created at Asda's home shopping unit, plus about 1,000 through organic growth. The company announced that this business expansion targets the long-term unemployed for 3,000 of the new posts which are both full time and part time. The new jobs will be created by the end of 2009.
