European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tauris Group management is to close its meat-factory MäsoSpiš in Spišská Nová Ves where all 130 employees will be laid off in mid January 2009. The closure is triggered by declining revenues from sales caused by increasing international competition as well as insufficient effectiveness of production which needs restructuring. Company management plans to relocate the production to its Fabuš plant in Myjava.
