Description

TI Automotive in Kongsvinger, part of a UK-based group, has announced that it is to dismiss 38 more employees. This is the fourth time the company reduces its workforce since the first restructuring  announced in September 2008. In total 93 permanent employees and 25 temporary workers have been made redundant since the financial crisis hit the company last autumn, leading to reduced sales of lorries, especially regarding their big customers Volvo and Scania.

The shop steward says to ie aktuelt that he expects more job cuts to come, and he criticises the crisis package from the government for not making the temporary layoff regulations more flexible.
