Description
Swedish furniture group Ikea is to open its new Dublin store in early summer, which, it is envisaged, will create 500 new jobs. The Swedish company said the store is already complete and it criticized the long delay it has experienced in setting up the Dublin store. The opening of the store has been delayed because the road infrastructure nearby was not considered adequate and has had to be upgraded. The news of the job creation will be welcome given the spate of job loss announcements across Ireland as the recession takes a firm grip on the country.
