European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Danish brewer Carlsberg is to dismiss 150 employees at its central brewery in Fredericia. This was announced in the press 15. january 2009. 100 will be made redundant while 50 jobs will dissapear through natural wastage. According to management, the reasons for the redundancies are the economic crisis and a decline in sales and a general uncertainty regarding changes in consumers' habits.
